Texans for Fiscal Responsibility announced today that the organization’s executive director, Andrew Kerr, will be leaving to pursue his Master of Business Administration at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
“TFR’s growth and expansion over the last two years could not have been possible without Andrew’s leadership,” said TFR president, Michael Quinn Sullivan. “We could not be more proud of him, and wish him the very best at Oxford as he and his family begin an exciting new chapter in his professional and personal life.”
Kerr first worked for TFR during the 80th Texas Legislature as the Community Relations Coordinator, overseeing the execution of a successful grassroots advocacy and education campaign promoting conservative policies. After a stint in Washington, D.C., Kerr returned to TFR as the executive director in January of 2011.
Dustin Matocha, the organization’s Social Media Coordinator and Policy Manager, will become TFR’s new Executive Director, while Nathan Ofe will now serve as Development Director.
“Dustin and Nathan will make up the leadership team guiding our growing staff as we open offices around the state,” said Sullivan. “This is an exciting time for the entire TFR and EmpowerTexans.com team.”
