Cary Cheshire serves as the Vice President of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, the premier project of Empower Texans.
A 6th generation Texan, Cary was raised in Mont Belvieu and attended Barbers Hill High School where he graduated in 2010. He attended Texas A&M where he studied Political Science and was initiated into the Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity.
Part of the original Cruz Crew, Cary served as the Campus Coordinator for Ted Cruz in his Senatorial campaign. He was also active in the Student Senate where he led the charge against tuition and fee increases and advocated for conservative principles such as religious liberty and concealed carry on campus. Additionally in his time as a student, Cary co-founded a nonprofit newspaper to inform students without spin from administrators.
After serving as a delegate from Brazos County to the 2014 Republican Party State Convention, Cary was shipped off to Kansas where he worked as a field representative for conservative Republican Milton Wolf on his campaign for the United States Senate.
Cary bleeds maroon and is an Aggie football fanatic, avid reader, amateur genealogy researcher, and craft beer aficionado.
