Charles Blain

Charles leads the Houston Bureau for Empower Texans and Texas Scorecard.

A native New Jerseyan, Charles attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science, with a concentration on American Political Studies. Throughout his undergraduate career he volunteered and worked on various statewide political campaigns focusing on minority engagement. While in college he also assisted with organizing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an annual gathering of conservative activists.

After working in healthcare policy for three years following graduation, he decided to relocate to Texas as a field organizer with the Texans for Greg Abbott campaign.

Seeing an opportunity to make a difference in Houston, Charles decided to begin working for Empower Texans.

Charles loves loud music, and Jeeps. He is also a reptile enthusiast who loves any animal that slithers, crawls, or climbs.
