Promoting ObamaCare?

Texas lawmakers will be voting today on legislation that would give tax incentives to companies on the basis of offering benefits complying with the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.” Pushing this backdoor endorsement of ObamaCare is GOP State Rep. Harvey Hilderbran of Kerrville.

Harvey Hilderbran... tax-writing chairman appointed by Speaker Straus is trying to define jobs on the basis of ObamaCare.
Called the “Texas Economic Development Act,” HB3390 would enshrine ObamaCare in state law by defining “qualifying jobs” eligible for local and state tax incentives if they are:

covered by a group health benefit plan that complies with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

Legislators should either strike the section from the bill on the floor, or oppose the legislation all together. Chances are, they will only act if they hear from voters and taxpayers.
