Empower Texans Fellowship Program

The deadline to apply for the inaugural class of Fall 2018 is June 15!

Empower Texans is looking to recruit and equip young, college-aged Texans committed to defending liberty in their communities through writing about local and state politics and being actively engaged with their fellow citizens.

Participants will be required to commit to the program for a full academic year, engage in campus or community activism projects, and write on state and local governance issues involving their university administration or local government entities.

Successful applicants to the Empower Texans Fellowship Program will be compensated on a per-article basis both for stories assigned by editorial staff as well as stories they have pitched and editorial staff has approved.

Additional benefits include training sessions with the Empower Texans staff, consideration for employment opportunities within the organization, recommendations for employment opportunities with liberty-minded legislators and entities, networking opportunities with conservative leaders, and more.

Enterprising young Texans between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible to apply. Accepted fellows who actively participate in the program will be awarded $500 each semester and will be provided with opportunities for additional compensation on a regular basis.
