Morgan Williamson is the Vice President of Communications for Empower Texans and Publisher of the Texas Scorecard. She monitors our outbound communications both online and in print.
Morgan is a born-and-raised Texas native, and an alumna of Texas State University, where she studied Public Relations and Photography. While searching for her niche in the PR industry, she sought out a wide variety of internships and was brought on as the Communications intern for the Child Support Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office during the summer of 2011.
Looking to insert herself into the world of politics, Morgan began interning with Empower Texans/Texans for Fiscal Responsibility during her final semester at Texas State. She was hired as a Legislative Aide in State Rep. James White’s office after graduating in December 2012.
Upon seeing the inner-workings of the Texas Legislature during the 83rd Legislative Session, Morgan knew where she belonged in the fight for the smaller government and conservative values that Texas holds dear and returned to Empower Texans/TFR in June 2013.
Morgan is a lover of words, and a well-written sentence. She is a bit of a perfectionist who loves almost every minute of working in such a continuously changing industry. She admits she would be nowhere near where she is today without the support of her family and the faith in God and devotion to caffeine that they instilled in her. However, everyone knows all work and no play make for a dull girl…which is where good friends, good food, and great wine come in.
