Best of 2017: State Rep. Briscoe Cain

“The Bulldog”

Though each of the Texas Freedom Caucus’ members contributed to the conservative effort in the Texas House, none were more vocal and aggressive than State Rep. Briscoe Cain (R–Deer Park). Cain didn’t just sit down and wait his turn. Instead, he opted for a baptism by fire and engaged actively in the big debates during the session. In doing so, Cain showed an early mastery of both policy and House procedure.

While Cain certainly didn’t win every battle, his willingness to enter the fray is worthy of praise from conservatives across the state and the primary reason citizens chose him as one of the Texas Legislature’s best lawmakers.
