Texas Tech Teaches Men to Sound Like Women

One university in Texas is using tax dollars to teach men how to sound more like women, in just the latest example of leftist social engineering on campus.

The workshop, held at Texas Tech University, pairs biologically male students with speech language pathologists to help develop “feminine pitch and feminine qualities” in their voices, according to a recent report by The College Fix.

The program is being put on by the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Speech Language & Hearing Clinic.

This example out of Lubbock is just the latest in the war on gender taking place on college campuses, even in the Lone Star State.

Recently, the University of Texas at Austin came under fire for “MasculinUT” a campaign held by the school’s Mental Health Center that seeks to expand the definition of “what it means to be masculine.”

Posters for the campaign featured various primarily male students with taglines like “Even though I’m masculine, I can wear makeup, and if I feel like wearing a dress, I can do that too and it’s totally fine.”

After word of the campaign began to spread on social media, UT officials claimed that they were “taking a step back” and reevaluating the program, putting their search for a full time “Healthy Masculinities Coordinator” on hold.

Whether it’s at Texas Tech, UT-Austin, or any other college campus, there is no question higher education has become a breeding ground for leftist social engineering at the expense of actual education, not to mention taxpayer dollars.

Rather than cower to liberal academics and accept this as a foregone conclusion, state legislators should exercise their full constitutional authority over these institutions, reign in these out-of-control far-left programs, and hold the administrators who gave them the green light accountable.

And when lawmakers return to the capitol next year to work on the state’s biennial budget, taxpayers must demand they hold these institutions to a higher standard.
